Nate Harvey, Owner / Head Coach

Nate has been living and breathing strength for over 35 years – picking up a barbell at age 12 and never looking back. What began as a personal obsession with getting stronger evolved into one of the most decorated careers in college football, competitive powerlifting and collegiate strength and conditioning in the country.

Nate’s education didn’t come from textbooks alone. In addition to his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University at Buffalo, he studied under some of the most respected minds in the strength world – Buddy Morris, Rusty Jones, Paul Childress, Ryan Groneman, and Julia Anto – building a coaching philosophy grounded in real-world results, not theory.

The weight room carved Nate’s path from a High school with a graduating class of 32 to a Division III All-American at a position he only played his last two seasons at SUNY Brockport.

On the platform, Nate stands among an elite few. He is one of fewer than 500 men in history to squat 1,000 pounds or more in competition – a feat he accomplished in fewer than 10 powerlifting meets. His best competition total reached 2,450 pounds in the 308-pound multi-ply division, with best lifts of a 1,000-pound squat, 750-pound bench, and 750-pound deadlift. In 2017, he was added to Team Elite fts as a coach, joining one of the most respected platforms in the strength community.

As the former Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports at the University at Buffalo – a Division I program – Nate spent a decade producing results that speak for themselves: UB’s first-ever national champion, four team conference championships, eight of the program’s twelve total All-Americans, 18 Olympic Trial qualifiers, over 50 individual conference champions, and over 75 individual regional qualifiers. All while helping reduce injury rates. He also served as a strength and conditioning consultant for the New York Jets in 2017. His programming, rooted in the Conjugate Method and scaled to meet athletes at their level, produced one of the most remarkable injury records in collegiate strength and conditioning – just one ACL tear across all directly coached athletes over his entire ten-year tenure.

That same philosophy is the foundation of 716 Elite Prep. Elite-level concepts. Intelligent programming. Real coaching. Built for everyone.
